Information

The Halle Gate is one of the most impressive monuments of medieval Brussels.

It was once one of the gateways to the fortified city and served to control the access of people and goods.

An educational trail and a remarkable historical collection tell the story of the Brussels fortresses and the various guilds they defended.

The large spiral staircase and the imposing roof, added in the 19th century by architect Henri Beyaert, have given the building a fairytale appearance.

Walk through the medieval central passage with its embrasures and drawbridge.

Discover the 14th-century vaulted rooms and admire the most beautiful roof trusses of Brussels!

From the rampart walk, you can enjoy a breathtaking 360° view of the city and its surroundings.
