Information

Set inside a small park, now a protected site, the ancient Evere windmill has been home to the Brussels Mill and Food Museum (MBMA).

Don’t miss out: the permanent exhibition dedicated to milling and the major annual exhibition on the food theme.
Until August 29, 2026: "Taste & Tradition. A short history of tasty traditions".

Every civilisation has different categories of food. Alongside everyday foods, there are also drinks and dishes enjoyed on special occasions.

The ‘Taste & tradition’ exhibition explores the close link between celebration and feasting, and offers you the chance to discover the little stories behind these gourmet traditions, from the champagne we sip in honour of someone or some event, to wedding pièces montées as well as birth almonds and Christmas turkeys and St Nicholas biscuits made from speculoos.

Sinds 2008 zet de vzw WORMS zich in om het beheer van organisch afval in Brussel te verbeteren en organisch materiaal beter te waarderen. Op initiatief van Leefmilieu Brussel organiseert WORMS thematische opleidingen voor de Brusselaars. Op 7 maart komt WORMS naar het Brussels Museum van de Molen en de Voeding om een cursus aan te bieden over 'Indoor composteren'.
