Information

The Wellington Museum – plunge into History!

Set on the outskirts of Soignes forest, this ancient building erected in 1705 provided shelter for various armed forces. It was here that the Duke of Wellington set up his headquarters on June 17th, 1815, just before his legendary confrontation with Napoleon.
It was here too that he drafted his victory report and baptized the famous battle "Waterloo".

The Wellington Museum retraces the political context of Europe in 1815 through a fascinating collection of engravings, weapons and archives.
