Information
Overlooking the valley and nestling between a bend of the river Ourthe and the steep slopes of Deister hill, the ruins of the medieval castle, built between the 11th, 12th and 13th century, tower over the town of La Roche.
Falconry shows and medieval entertainment in summer.

Come across troubadours, knights and minstrels, who bring the castle to life, just for you! In La Roche on 02 and 03/08/14!
Reconstructed campsites, crafts, courtly combat, falconry, fire-eaters, fortune-tellers, archery, a medieval market in the town and castle...nothing will be spared for this family experience.
Over 150 performers from "La compagnie de la Licorne" (the unicorn theatre company), will amuse the public who can have a go at calligraphy and other medieval practices.
And for gourmet lovers there are a number of stalls with medieval-style food using local produce... Spread the word!
La Roche-en-Ardenne becomes medieval!
Every evening, the ghost of Berthe - daughter of a 10th-century Count of La Roche - wanders the walls of La Roche-en-Ardenne castle from 12 July to 23 August for this 2014 edition.
Berthe laments her tragic destiny: believing herself to have been betrayed by her fiancé, she sold her soul to the devil on the condition that she could get revenge by condemning them both to death...
Only visible from the town - Quartier du Faubourg.
The ghost doesn't appear in rain or strong winds.
