Information

The Musée du Malgré-Tout, located in Treignes, explores the human history of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region, from the Neanderthals to the Gallo-Romans. Rich in artefacts, most of which are the fruit of excavations carried out since 1980 by the museum's professional archaeologists.

The museum features fascinating objects such as a Neanderthal milk tooth, a cave lion skeleton, Gallic vases and Gallo-Roman jewellery. A new permanent exhibition room will answer your questions about the region's prehistory and Gallo-Roman period.

You can also visit the prehistory park, the evolution gallery and the current temporary exhibition, and take advantage of workshops and events for all ages.

A must-see destination for history and adventure buffs.
