Plunge into the heart of rural life!
The Écomusée du Viroin presents the main traditional trades once practised in the village communities of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse.
Starting from a reconstructed village square, discover the workshops of several typical rural craftsmen: cooper, shoemaker, baker, washerwomen, etc., as well as old farm machinery outdoors.
There's also a mechanised clog-maker's workshop dating from the early 20th century. Clog-making demonstration or guided tour of the permanent exhibition by prior arrangement, and clog-making machine demonstration on the last Sunday of the month at 15.30 (except events).
You can also visit the temporary exhibition!
Every 1st Sunday of the month: free admission to the museum.
Guided tours of the permanent and temporary exhibitions for groups.
Tailor-made educational activities for groups (2.5 to 18 years old): baker's workshop, leather-working workshop, forge, rope, basket-making, washerwoman, etc.
5 to € 8 per person. Groups can be invoiced.

Das Museumsdorf Treignes lädt Groß und Klein zum Gruseltag ein. Nimm teil an vielen unheimlichen Aktivitäten!
Das Ecomusée du Viroin, das Espace Arthur Masson, das Museum des Magré-Tout und das Museum des Petit Formats schließen sich für einen Tag unter dem Motto Halloween zusammen.
Ein Spukdorf
An diesem Tag kannst du dich den dunklen Mächten und Gestalten stellen, die in Treignes ihr Unwesen treiben:
- Mach dich bereit für einen Horrorparcours, einen nächtlichen Museumsbesuch, der dir Gänsehaut bereitet.
- Auf deiner Reise zur Hölle musst du in den teilnehmenden Museen verschiedene Prüfungen bestehen.
- Genieße zum Abschluss des Halloween Festes eine Tanzaufführung im Hof der Ferme-Château in Treignes.
- Allen Teilnehmern wird ein Zaubertrank angeboten. Ein Horrorfahrzeug bringt dich von einem Museum zum nächsten.
